As President of the Association of Real Estate Agents (AREA) Uganda, I am honored to lead a professional community dedicated to shaping the future of Uganda's real estate sector. At a time of rapid urban growth, increasing investment, and rising demand for quality housing, the role of a trusted and forward-looking real estate industry has never been more important.

AREA Uganda stands as a voice of leadership, committed to elevating professionalism, encouraging innovation, and advancing ethical practice across the sector. Through meaningful engagement with policymakers, developers, investors, and communities, we continue to contribute to national conversations that influence sustainable urban development and responsible property markets.

We are equally committed to ensuring that Uganda's real estate industry aligns with regional and global best practices. By building partnerships across East Africa and beyond, AREA Uganda supports knowledge exchange, regulatory progress, and investment-friendly frameworks that position Uganda as an emerging leader in the regional property landscape. Collaborating with institutions like Makerere University and global entities, we research pressing issues such as the 2.4-million-unit housing gap and innovative financing. These studies support Vision 2040 and SDG 11, promoting sustainable urban development in East Africa property markets.

Our thought leadership also reflects a deep awareness of the challenges and opportunities before us ranging from housing accessibility and affordability to climate resilience, technology adoption, and sustainable construction. We believe that the future of real estate must be guided not only by growth, but by integrity, inclusivity, and long-term impact.

As Peter Drucker wisely observed, “The best way to predict the future is to create it.” This principle continues to inspire our work as we strive to build a modern, transparent, and globally competitive real estate sector for Uganda.
