The Association of Real Estate Agents Uganda (AREA-Uganda) is organizing the Annual Real Estate Dinner & Expo with the theme “It’s time for Africa” due to take place on the 8th December 2023 at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
We will be launching the Real Estate Investment Fund which will be the start of new investment ventures for the industry players, we will Honor and Award outstanding Real Estate Professionals who have made significant contributions in the Real Estate Sector, beginning with those in Uganda and extending to the broader African context. The dinner will serve as a platform for sellers, buyers and investors to connect, fostering networking opportunities that could potentially lead to business exchange. The primary objective of the dinner is to catalyze Africa's transformation, foster business exchange and facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experiences among local and international practitioners in the built environment sector.
OBJECTIVES
- To create a Business to Business platform enhancing the business exchange environment. A Buyer’s meet dinner where we have all local & International Real Estate Practitioners network and close deals.
- Foster collaborations between architects, engineers and urban planners to create innovative, environmentally friendly solutions for cities and communities in Africa.
- To recognize and award the leading real estate players who have contributed to the transformation of the sector.
- To boost real estate Investment; to identify emerging real estate markets and investment opportunities in different African regions based on historical trends and current conditions concentrating on Uganda.
ACTIVITIES FOR THE DINNER
PRE-DINNER EVENTS
1. Property Tour
We will have a property tour showcasing various projects, with a focus on those for sale. We will also guide our guests on exploring what makes Uganda an unforgettable place to reside and a prime investment destination
2. Key Stakeholders Visit
We will also visit key stakeholders like MLHUD, URA, UIA, MoWT, NBRB, NPPB, PSFU etc.
3. AREA-Uganda AGM
We intend to hold AREA-Uganda’s Annual General Meeting from 9:00am to 1:00pm, with attendance restricted to fully paid up members.
DINNER ACTIVITIES
The Dinner is slated to start at 3pm with an Expo that will run throughout the Dinner. The Dinner will have the following activities:
- Expo
We shall have exhibitions by different industry players and sponsors in the Hall. This is to give our Sector players chance to be seen and heard by would be clients and investors. The Expo will start at 2pm till late in the night.
2. Networking Cocktail
We will have a networking Cocktail before the Event starts to give sponsors and participants time to interact and do business. The Cocktail will start at 1pm to 3pm.
3. Keynote Address
We will have a Keynote address delivered by a prominent Senior Real Estate Player at about 5pm. This will revolve around the event's theme and provide insights into the current state of affairs in African Real Estate, historical context, and future prospects of the African real estate landscape. The emphasis will be on the importance of supporting and promoting African real estate professionals who are driving positive change in the industry.
4. Awards and Recognition
We will be recognizing different players that have played a big role in the Real Estate sector. We will give Awards to the following categories;
