21st February is recognised Internationally as the International Mother Tongue Day.
Gombe Junior School joined the rest of the world in celebrating this day.
As a school, on that day we allowed children and staff to dress in their traditional wears and also speak their mother tongues throughout the day.
Lots of activities were done on that day including dancing to cultural songs, display of staple foods as well as presenting oneself in the traditional way.
It was such a beautiful and wonderful day that cannot be easily forgotten.
